Siri Fun Fact iOS6

Open Apps with Siri on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Siri

Siri now lets you launch applications by just speaking a simple command to the iPhone, iPod, or iPad. This is a great feature for a variety of obvious reasons, and using it is simple:
  • Hold down the Home button to summon Siri, then say “Open [App Name]” or “Launch [App Name]“
Sometimes you can just say the app name as well, but that doesn’t always work. Nonetheless, with the “Launch” or “Open” prefix, apps will immediately launch and become the forefront app. You can even launch apps from the lock screen with Siri, though if you use a passcode you’ll have to enter it before the apps open.
The only real requirement here is that your device has iOS 6 installed and it’s compatible with Siri support, which means iPad 3, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPod touch 5th gen, and obviously devices launched thereafter.

Open Apps with Siri
This should be a particularly useful tip for anyone who drives in a region with strict laws around cell phone usage, since you can now go directly to apps without fiddling around with the phone much at all. That means launching long-drive and commute redemption streaming apps like Podcasts, Pandora, Spotify can be done instantly while you’re focus remains on the road.

Transparent iPhone 5 wallpaper
Have you ever wished you had x-ray vision so you could peer right through the enclosure of your iPhone 5 to see the fancy hardware insides? Now you can pretend you’re Superman with the help of a snazzy transparent wallpaper pack from iFixIt, which shows you precisely what the internals of an iPhone 5 look like as if the icons and UI were just hovering over raw hardware.
You’ll notice over half of the inside of the iPhone is devoted to the battery, and the rest is chips, circuit boards, a heat shield over the processor, ribbon cables, and all the other good stuff you find if you crack open any iOS device.
If you don’t have an iPhone 5 yet, iFixIt has done this in the past with wallpapers for iMacs, iPads, and other iPhones too, each of which should strike your geek fancy.

Verizon Sells ALOT OF IPHONE 4

According to a story on The Next Web today, Verizon has revealed in its newly posted second quarter financial results that it raked in revenue of $15.2 billion, and signed up 880,000 new subscribers during the period. Breaking those figures down further, Verizon revealed that it had sold 5.9 million smartphones in total, with 2.7 million of those being iPhones. The Next Web reports that this is down 16% from the 3.2 million iPhones that the company sold in the first quarter of 2012, with 25% of those iPhones going to first-time customers. As The Next Web notes, it was to be expected that iPhone sales would dip at some point this year; it’s eight months since the release of Apple’s previous iPhone, the iPhone 4S, and it’s possible that potential customers have been lured away by shiny bright and new handsets such as the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX and Samsung Galaxy S III, and it’s also very likely that customers are aware that a new iPhone is due to be released before the end of the year, and are therefore waiting before upgrading. No one wants to be the person who buys a new iPhone the day before the super duper new version is announced.

Siri???

Siri, as you all know is one of the most beautiful feature and Apple has been marketing the new product Apple iPhone 4S on this app. It is the voice assistant which takes your voice commands and then makes them happen in no time. The app is successfully running around the world in all iPhone 4S and those who do not have the new iPhone 4S also want to use the app in their previous versions.

Developers have been working on it and so far a couple of developers have been successful in porting Siri to the other iDevices though the app was not supported by the Apple servers.
We have a news which is much wanted because the Siri that is not supported by the Apple servers is not fully working and now a developer claim to port Siri to the iOS 5 devices without Jailbreaking them and the app is said to be fully supported by the Apple servers.
Jackoplane is the name of the developer who has claimed so and is also intending to give the proof in the near future. This is a rumor yet until we get a procedure or a video demonstrating how to port it etc.
Till then we can just hope that the rumor is true. Among those devices which can successfully port Siri without being Jailbroken are iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, and iPod touch 4G.
Another important thing is that the official statement has been made that anyone who wants to port the said app to the other devices cannot do so without piracy. As there is very less information we have about this Jackoplane porting thing, we don’t know if it involves piracy or not. Everything shall be made clear by the developer in the coming days as he is planning so.
Do you want to run Siri on your iDevice which supports iOS 5 other than iPhone 4S? All you can do is to wait for the developer to release the procedure or a video. For latest updates, stay tuned with us.
